Next is my very first ever dog book....Okay, okay, I know, I know... But before you pass judgment, let me just say, this card-carrying member of the Cat Writers' Association had quite a struggle within about whether to take on this project at all. But after writing CAT CONFESSIONS: A "KITTY COME CLEAN" TELL-ALL BOOK, I received so many requests from canines around the world begging for the chance to unleash their own secrets, well, I finally gave in. The result is DOG CONFESSIONS: SHOCKING TALES FROM THE DOGHOUSE, and here's a preview:

Trashing the house is light stuff compared to some of the shocking admissions these pups got off their furry chests and onto the pages of this howlingly funny book. Even cat lovers will love it.

Okay, so next comes the follow-up to THANK YOU, GOD, FROM KIDS AROUND THE WORLD, entitled, HUGS & KISSES, GOD FROM KIDS AROUND THE WORLD. Second in the series, this colorful, inspirational flap book focuses on how kids all over the world show God their love. It's illustrated by one of my favorite artists, Miki Sakamoto, and is sure to get kids (and adults) expressing their love for God in how they treat others and in the litttle things they do each day. Last, but not least, is a book I've been working on for over a year. It's a 90-day devotional called: WHATEVER:LIVIN' THE TRUE, NOBLE, TOTALLY EXCELLENT LIFE, and it's part of the Zondervan, faithGirlz line. With examples based on ordinary girls, each of the 90 God-and-joy filled devos will show girls how to fill their heads and hearts with the virtues the apostle Paul writes about in his letter to the Philippians (4:8). Girls will learn how to shut out gross, crude, impure, stupid, and just plain dumb "stuff," that leads to sin and estrangement from God and substitute what's true, noble, pure, lovely, admirable, praiseworthy and excellent. What's more, this book will help girls look at the word WHATEVER in a fresh, new, and exciting way. This book will be out in September and I couldn't be happier.

What’s in the works, you ask? I’m working on two new picture books from Harvest House, one entitled WHEN GOD TURNED ON THE LIGHT, a really neat book about the Creation and all the wonderful things our God has gifted us with, and a beautiful book highlighting the Bible’s Book of Psalms, entitled PSALMS AND PRAYERS FOR LITTLE ONES. I’m also working on a children’s Bible, and some Y/A fiction. Stay tuned for more on these.
